In March of 2025<\/strong>, Microsoft announced meter price reductions in Copilot Studio<\/a><\/strong>, that make using custom agents<\/a> for non-Microsoft 365 Copilot<\/strong> users more affordable. Also, deep reasoning capabilities<\/strong> join both Copilot Studio and Microsoft 365 Copilot<\/a><\/strong> that allow the AI to think longer about prompts and give better answers.<\/p>\n

Copilot Studio price decreases for specific actions<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Copilot Studio<\/strong> allows you to create your own AI agents<\/strong>. Based on pay-as-you-go pricing<\/strong>, you pay for prompts<\/strong> that your users send to your AI agent. Pricing<\/strong> is measured in “messages”<\/strong>, and different answer types and actions have different “message”-prices<\/strong>, e.g., a generative answer costs two (2) messages. A message costs 0.01 USD<\/strong>. While non-Microsoft 365 Copilot users create message-costs for each action, Microsoft 365 Copilot users incur no charge for some of the available actions<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Since April 1, 2025<\/strong>, the message-cost<\/strong> of tenant Microsoft Graph grounding for messages<\/strong> (30 -> now 10<\/strong>) and of Agent actions<\/strong> (25 -> now 5<\/strong>) have been reduced<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Tenant Graph Grounding for Messages<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Tenant Graph grounding for messages<\/strong> provides high-quality grounding for your AI agents using retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) over your tenant-wide Microsoft Graph<\/strong>. This includes relevant information from files stored in SharePoint and external data synced via Graph connectors<\/strong>. It ensures that the grounding information is up-to-date and context-aware.<\/p>\n

Agent Actions<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Agent actions<\/strong> let your agents perform specific tasks automatically<\/strong>. These actions can include triggers, topics, Power Platform connectors, and Power Automate flows<\/strong> to automate complex business processes. For example, an agent can use these actions to respond to user queries, execute workflows, or integrate with other systems and services<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n

Deep Reasoning in Copilot Studio: Build Advanced AI Agents<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Now available, Copilot Studio<\/strong> gives the option to use an advanced reasoning model<\/strong> in your custom-built AI agents<\/strong>. This model can handle more complex tasks<\/strong>, because it processes longer and step-by-step. This advanced reasoning model is priced at the premium rate for text and generative AI tools, costing 100 messages per 10 responses<\/strong> – also for Microsoft 365 Copilot users. It uses the OpenAI o1 model<\/strong> at the moment.<\/p>\n
