{"id":19999,"date":"2021-12-16T17:52:19","date_gmt":"2021-12-16T16:52:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.schneider.systems\/?p=19999"},"modified":"2025-06-16T11:41:02","modified_gmt":"2025-06-16T09:41:02","slug":"vmware-nsx-data-center-licenses-end-of-general-support","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.schneider.systems\/lu\/vmware-nsx-data-center-licenses-end-of-general-support\/","title":{"rendered":"VMware NSX Data Center Licenses End of General Support"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Effective January 16, 2022, the End of General Support (EoGS) for the current <a href=\"https:\/\/www.schneider.systems\/lu\/vmware-by-broadcom-portfolio-simplification-and-transition-to-subscription\/\">VMware<\/a> NSX Data Center for vSphere platform, which is part of the entitlement of the NSX Data Center products, takes place.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Effective January 16, 2023, the corresponding technical guidance will end. During the Technical Guidance phase, VMware will not offer new hardware support, server\/client\/guest OS updates, new Security patches or bug fixes unless otherwise noted.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Customers who have purchased NSX Data Center are also entitled to the VMware NSX-T Data Center platform and can migrate to NSX-T as a replacement platform for NSX Data Center for vSphere platform.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">New VMware NSX-T licenses are available for customers who wish to purchase perpetual licenses.
